2009 ABT Sportsline AS5-R Audi S5
German based ABT Sportsline is well known for their work on different Audi models. Their new project is called ABT AS5-R and is based on the Audi S5.
Engineers at ABT have added an ABT Compressor to the standard V8 which now develops 510 hp (stock S5 has 354 hp). The AS5-R reaches 100km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, top speed is 292km/h (181 mph).
To handle such power ABT has upgraded braking system and the new ABT Coil-over suspension system has been added, which helps bring the potential power onto the road.
Exterior changes include new front spoiler, grille, inner fender skirt, grill-shaped air inlets, fog lights, rear skirt and 4-pipe rear muffler. AS5-R rides on 20-inch BR alloys in combination with high performance tires.

The heart of the new Audi S4 and Audi S4 Avant is a completely redesigned engine. The 3.0 TFSI, the newest member of the Audi V-engine family, is an outstanding example of how the brand with the four rings blends performance and efficiency. The V6 generates its power from a displacement of 2,995 cc, is equipped with a supercharger, and delivers 245 kW (333 hp). The sedan sprints to100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 5.1 seconds, and the Avant in 5.2 seconds: they both have an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph).

2009 Audi Sportback Concept
The name, Sportback, isn't one with much meaning for Americans, but at Audi it will soon assume greater significance than Avant. Already, the company refers to the A3 four-door hatchback as a Sportback and at the Paris auto show last fall it unveiled the subcompact A1 Sportback concept. Here, Audi wants to show that the Sportback idea isn't just for small cars.Indeed, this Sportback concept is a preview of the upcoming Audi A7, essentially a premium, four-door coupe variant of the A6, much in the same way the Mercedes-Benz CLS is positioned above the E-class on which it's based.

Audi is taking the wraps off a new sports car – the Audi TTS, the top of the TT model line. It will be coming to dealer showrooms in the early summer. Under its hood lies a two-liter TFSI high-performance engine delivering a mighty 200 kW (272 hp). This intense power propels the TTS Coupe to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) from a standstill in just 5.2 seconds and on to a governor-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph). The Audi TTS is available as both a 2 + 2-seater coupe and as a roadster.
Designed to appeal to a young and dynamic clientele, the TTS represents the Audi brand’s Vorsprung durch Technik (“advancement through technology”) in its very latest form. The TFSI engine in the TTS takes the two Audi technologies of gasoline direct injection and turbocharging and blends them to form a perfect partnership. Aside from its output of 200 kW (272 hp), it is its peak torque of 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft), which is constantly on tap between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm, that makes the compact and lightweight four-cylinder unit so impressive.Compared to the engine it was derived from, the two-liter power unit has been reengineered and strengthened in a number of key areas to ready it for operation in the TTS. Thanks to its excellent efficiency, the sporty-sounding TFSI has an average fuel consumption of just 8.0 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (29.375 mpg) in the Coupe when partnered by the six-speed manual transmission, while the figure for the roadster averages 8.2 l/100 km (28.659 mpg). These figures are improved by 0.1 and 0.2 l/100 km (by 0.372 and 0.716 mpg), respectively, if the optional S tronic dual-clutch transmission is fitted.the picture gallery of Audi TTS Coupe :

2009 Audi A3 Sportback
The one word that is synonymous with Audi in Canada is quattro. Quattro is Audi’s version of all wheel drive and is available on every Canadian Audi. In the A3, quattro takes the form of a very fast acting hydraulic multi-plate clutch that acts as a centre differential. Since this centre diff can vary how much it locks up, the amount of power that gets shifted from front to back can be varied as well.
Quattro is an option on the A3 Sportback in Canada and front wheel drive is the standard configuration. When Quattro is ordered, this means the basic drive mode is front wheel drive. When the computer senses wheel slippage, power transfer takes a fraction of a second to go from roughly 90% to the front to a 50/50 split or if necessary going nearly all to the rear. Individual wheels are controlled by the computer working through the ABS sensors and brake system.
My test unit came with quattro and winter tires. At first, I thought that Audi was nuts leaving the winter tires on in the middle of May and then it snowed. My early morning sojourn for a Starbucks latte for my wife, the stuffy boring accountant seemed normal enough. I couldn’t figure out why everyone was tip-toeing about. Then I got out of the car and took a bit of a slide and decided that perhaps quattro and the tires were doing more to make me look like a good driver than I thought.
The other major upgrade in this particular A3 is the twin clutch automatic. These types of transmission are becoming more common due to the efficiencies offered to both manufacturer and consumer. Everyone’s fist thought is that the transmission must be some type of performance unit. The answer to that question is a very clear “it depends”. What it depends on is how you use it.

2009 Audi S3 Sportback
Audi S3 Sportback
Momentum is also available at the dynamic pinnacle of the A3 family: The S3 is joined by the Audi S3 Sportback. It has the same immensely powerful engine under its hood: The 2.0 TFSI has an output of 195 kW (265 hp); its maximum torque of 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) is constantly available from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. The turbocharged direct injection engine catapults the Audi S3 Sportback into the exclusive class of compact, fast sports cars.In comparison with the A3, the two-liter engine in the S3 has been intensively further developed. The turbo, with its upsized turbine and compressor turbine wheel, builds up a relative charge pressure of up to 1.2 bar. A reengineered charge air cooler significantly lowers the temperature of the compressed air and thereby increases the air mass required for combustion. The Audi S3 Sportback implements its dynamic potential in full. The sprint to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) takes just 5.8 seconds, with propulsion only being ended at 250 km/h (155.34 mph) by the electronic limiter. However, the high-tech four-cylinder consumes an average of only 8.5 liters of fuel per 100 km (27.67 mpg) - further proof of Audi's successful efficiency strategy.
Like the S3, the Audi S3 Sportback is also a consistent driving machine. The six-speed manual transmission, which is also characterized by its high efficiency, is closely spaced with reduced shift travel.
the picture gallery of Audi S3 Sportback :
The new Audi S3 Sportback and the three-door S3 also appear even sharper. These two dynamic high-flyers can be recognized at first glance thanks to a range of sharp lines - on the roof spoiler and the side sills, for example.
The radiator grille is fitted with chrome-plated, vertical double bars, the bumper with a powerful spoiler lip. Chrome rings border the fog lamps. A platinum gray diffuser and two large, oval exhaust tailpipes sharpen up the rear end. Eleven paint finishes are available, including the S-specific colors Solar Orange, Imola Yellow and Sprint Blue, pearl effect.
In the interior, sports seats with cloth and leather covers welcome the driver and the passenger. In the Audi exclusive range from quattro GmbH, racing fans will find bucket seats (folding in the 3-door S3) and a leather-covered sports steering wheel with flattened rim at the bottom. Inlays in piano finish black, a black or silver roof lining plus aluminum pedals and door sill strips lend further highlights to the impression of noble sportiness. Seven color and cloth variants and three inlay variants are available. A deluxe automatic air conditioning system, an antitheft alarm system and xenon plus headlamps round off the lavish standard equipment. The Audi S3 Sportback is priced at €37,850.
