  • 2010 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 Official Revealed

    A new and innovative product, the 3008, a compact, large volume and responsible crossover, positions itself at the crossroads of the paths between several existing worlds. From the spring of 2011, and in accordance with the announcement made at the Paris Motor Show 2008, the 3008 will be the first vehicle of the Group to be equipped with the HYbrid4 technology.

    The vehicle will, therefore, also benefit from special stylistic elements to demonstrate its innovative content. This technology was incorporated from the beginning of the “T84” program, as it is fully coherent with the “off-road” spirit of the vehicle. Furthermore, it avoids any architectural limitation affecting the volume and style of the passenger compartment, two important aspects of the project. So, the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 pushes the “crossover by Peugeot” concept still further by providing an even more innovative response to environmental and safety concerns.

    The 3008 HYbrid4 is intended to be a “full hybrid” vehicle:

    Hybrid, since as a crossover, the 3008 is able to combine a number of body types:

    • through its exterior architecture, with bodywork bearing the genes of an SUV, MPV or hatchback…;
    • through its style, harmonizing power and protection, strength and elegance, leisure and status, tinged with the dynamism dear to the Marquee;
    • through its unexpected interior, combining the ambiance of a top-of-the-range Coupe benefiting from high-tech equipment with practical and efficient modularity;
    • through its dynamic performance as, thanks to the expertise of the Marquee and the technology used, this “tall MPV” offers roadholding qualities equal to those of a hatchback, combined with good levels of driving feedback.

    Hybrid, technologically speaking, thanks to the Hybrid4:

    • through its electric motor (at the rear) and its Hdi FAP diesel engine (at the front), the electric motor and the engine operating alone or together;
    • through its traction, since the mechanical layout and its technology produces a four-wheel drive vehicle, combining safety and driving pleasure with an particularly efficient environmental balance.

    Finally, this four-wheel drive hybrid crossover proves itself to be particularly eco-efficient with a combined fuel consumption objective set at 3.8 litres/100 km or only 99 g/km of CO2 emitted, even zero in electric only mode.

    This does not prevent it from demonstrating a high level of dynamic performance with a maximum power of 147 kW (200 bhp) when the engine and electric motor operate simultaneously, generating a maximum torque of 300 Nm at the front and 200 Nm at the rear.

    In tune with its time and the aspirations of numerous customers, modern, demanding and responsible, the 3008 HYbrid4 therefore provides a new motor vehicle synthesis reinventing the idea of driving enjoyment.
